KaBoom!

Felix is in 1st grade.  He goes to a great school but has struggled with the lack of physical activity.  I recently got to spend the day taking pictures while 200 volunteers built a playground for his school.  It was sponsored by "KaBoom!" .  It was amazing to watch it materialize in a mere 6 hours.

Pretty cool day, and the kids are so happy!

Book Worm

Rex decided months ago that he wanted to know how to read, so he figured it out.  He's pretty stubborn, so refused help and taught himself.  He often reads to Daphne, is currently trying to work his way through at least a dozen books, and sleeps with a heaping pile of books under his pillow.

Under-Wonders

Daphne will have nothing to do with potty training or panties.

She does seem to have taken a liking to underwear...and Corn Nuts.
Who ever said girls were easier to potty train than boys

couldn't have had it more wrong.

Any tips or tricks to share anyone?

1st Hair Cut

Daphne had her first haircut. She sat still as a statue and may not have blinked the whole time. This was the look she kept. When we left, she was very proud of her haircut and every so often will say, "Haircut was fun!" She likes to swoosh her dutch girl bob around, too :)

Pine Wood Derby

Felix participated in his first Pine Wood Derby. He didn't place, but was very happy to be awarded the"Most Dazzling" certificate.

Yes, cub scouts can be dazzling, too...as long as they use glitter paint :)

Here he is with "The Flame"

The tiger scouts anxiously await the start of the race.
